BRAKE PARACHUTE
- CATEGORIES:
Brake Parachutes are designed to provide adequate deceleration to bring the Aircraft of different weight class to stop within specified landing speeds in both normal and emergency conditions.
When landing at standard and emergency rates, a single canopy brake parachute is used, which has a landing weight of 9 to 20 tons.
For standard and emergency landing speeds, very stable twin canopy brake parachutes are designed and incorporated for fighter aircraft landing weight varying from 20 Ton to 40 Ton.
Throughout the Indian Air Force, all fighter planes are equipped with brake parachutes developed and designed in-house.
